PSW Photowalk - Location Lighting Shootout

This class is for any photographer who loves to photograph people. That’s you right? After all, passion is the main ingredient in portrait photography. From there you’ll still need a wealth of technical knowledge to create environmental portraits or to truly capture someone while out on location. In this pre-con Erik will walk you through overcoming the challenges of taming harsh outdoor light, naturally, as well as with strobes.

Erik will be setting up studio strobes and reflectors/diffusors of all sizes for you to use. After a quick introduction to the gear, the shooting will begin. He’ll teach you how to tame natural light for amazing images as well as how to introduce strobes into the scene for maximum creativity and control. This is an opportunity for you to shoot with Erik’s assistance and try out gear that he uses every day on commercial jobs and you’ll be able to add some killer images to your portfolio.

After attending this workshop you’ll not only walk away with killer portraits and lifestyle images for your portfolio, but the ability to recreate them on command! You will also have first hand experience working with professional models and the latest high end lighting equipment from Broncolor and commercial lighting modifiers from California Sunbounce. From here on out no location or shooting situation can stop you from creating awesome imagery!
