On this Photo Walk you will get to combine real New York City locations with a professional model and tons on-location lens and lighting advice from New York City-based assignment photographer Erik Valind. You’ll learn how your lens’s focal length can shape the story of your environmental portrait, and how creative control of the depth of field can lead to more impactful portraits. You’ll learn the tricks to finessing the best possible light out of your reflectors, as well as how to use and redirect harsh direct sunlight. Then, with the help of a beautiful model, you’ll get to jump in and photograph too!
