I swung through Tampa the other day and dropped in on fellow photographer Ryan Gautier. He lives in a beautiful neighborhood on the south side of town and I serendipitously (that’s as fun to say as it is to spell) got lost on the way over. It’s a good thing too because I stumbled upon this neat stretch of road right down the street. Its unique canopy of bowing old oak tress caught my eye and I had a hunch that it might light up just right around sunrise.
When I finally arrived Ryan was just wrapping up a portfolio shoot for Jennifer Kirkpatrick, a local fitness model and yoga instructor. Jennifer is incredibly fit and has an awesome energy to her, which is exciting to find in a subject, as it isn’t often that I find someone that can match my own energy. After kicking around the idea of shooting something down the road and finding that they were both free the following morning we decided to reconvene the next day and knock out some fun running / lifestyle shots.
